“목사학력 및 자격고시”를 다음과 같이 공고하오니 해당자는 아래 요령과 같이 지원하여 주시기 바라며, 모든 서류와 시험은 한글과 영어 중 편한 언어를 사용할 수 있습니다.

The following information is regarding the “Pastoral Ordination Candidacy Qualification and Exams,” which will be offered in May of 2017. Those who wish to become candidates are encouraged to send in all the necessary documents to begin the process. Those who prefer the use of English may submit all documents and take exams in English.

 

1. Candidacy Qualification
The applicant must be a M. Div graduate (or expected to graduate before June 30 of 2017) of a seminary (acknowledged) by KAPC. 
He must have a clear confession in the tradition of the Reformed Faith; he also should be a Christian in good standing in a local church with a clear sense of calling into ministry, and with a recognized gift in leadership.

본 총회 직영 신학교 및 총회가 인준한 정규신학교 M.Div 학위를 졸업하였거나 2017년 6월 이전에 졸업예정자로 개혁주의 신앙이 투철한 무흠 입교인으로서 확실한 소명과 영적지도력을 가진분.

3. Exam Subjects
a) Written Test :    (1) Church History (2) Systematic Theology
           (3) American Church History (4) Constitution of KAPC

b) Written Assignment :    (1) OT Exegesis Paper (2) NT Exegesis Paper 
               (3) Thesis Paper (4) Manuscript of Sermon

(1) OT Exegesis Text : Jeremiah 31:31-37
(2) NT Exegesis Text : John 8:13-27
(3) Thesis Topic : Compare and contrast the Christian and Islamic view of God.  Discuss its implications on the Christian life.
(4) Sermon Text : 1 Kings 2:1-9
During the exam period, candidates will be asked to preach from their written sermon.
(5) Instructions for the written assignments :
* Plagiarism will not be tolerated !!!
You must submit one hard copy and email a PDF file of each written assignment according to the following regulations:
ⓐ Use 8-1/2" by 11" letter size papers.
ⓑ Use 12-point font (Times New Roman), 1-inch margins, double space, use page numbering, proper footnoting, and include bibliography.
ⓒ Both thesis and exegesis papers should be about 25 pages each in length excluding title page and bibliography. The length of the sermon text should correspond to 30 minutes of actual preaching time.
ⓓ Use a common academic writing format, and all quotes, and cited information must accompany proper references (i. e. footnotes or endnotes).
ⓔ All PDF files must be emailed to kfpcny@gmail.com with the following instructions:
① The subject line must include your name
② File attachments must include your name and assignment title. 
   (Ex. SunghoonChoOTExegesisPaper.pdf)
ⓕ You may send multiple e-mails if your files are too big.

3. 고시과목
a) 필기고시: (1) 교회사  (2) 조직신학  (3) 미국장로교회사  (4) 헌법 (이상4과목)
b) 제출고시: (1) 구약주해  (2) 신약주해  (3) 논문 (4) 설교원고 (이상4편)

제출고시내용
(1) 구약주해 : 예레미야 31:31-37
(2) 신약주해 : 요한복음 8:13-27
(3) 논문제목 : 기독교 와 이슬람교의 신관을 비교하고 그것이 신앙생활에 미치는 함축적 의미를 논하라.
(4) 설교본문 : 열왕기상 2:1-9
ⓐ설교원고를 작성하여 제출할 것.
ⓑ고시기간중 설교실기고시를 치름.
(5) 제출고시과목에 관한 요령
* 표절은 절대 용인되지 않습니다!!!
주해 및 논문은 아래지침에 따라 작성하되, 한부는 인쇄하여 제출하고, 한부는 PDF 파일로 서기에게 이메일 할 것.
ⓐ레터 (8-1/2" x 11") 용지를 사용 할 것.
ⓑ한글 11호크기의 폰 트사용, 줄간격 180%, 여백은 1인치, 페이지번호 포함 할 것. (영문 Times New Roman 12호 Double Space)
ⓒ논문과 주해는 각각 25매 내외로 작성(겉장과 참고서적 제외)하며, 설교 원고는 30분분량의 원고 (10매정도).
ⓓ논문과 주해는 논문작성원칙에 따를 것이며 인용구는 각주를 사용하고 참고서적을 꼭 포함 할 것.
ⓔ PDF 파일을 보낼 때는 이메일 제목에 본인이름을 넣고, 파일이름에 본인이름 및 과목주제 이름을 사용  할것.
   (예: SunghoonChoOTExegesisPaper.pdf)
ⓕ파일이 너무크면 나누어서 이메일로 보낼것.

4. Accompanying Documents
a) A copy of the certificate of graduation with M. Div. degree or a letter from the registrar (or the president of a seminary) certifying that the candidate is expected to graduate before June 30 of 2017.
b) An official copy of transcript for the whole M. Div. program.
c) A letter of recommendation from the moderator of a Presbytery that the candidate is under care.
d) An official letter from a Presbytery (issued by the clerk) confirming that the candidate under care is in good standing.
e) Curriculum Vitae (CV) including a clear history of faith (For example, the year of baptism, the name of the church where the baptism was given and the name of the officiating minister, etc.)
f) Two passport-size photos of the candidate.
g) Fee: $150 (USD). Pay to the order of - KFPCNY

c) 소속노회장추천서 1부
d) 소속노회목사후보생증명서 1부
e) 이력서(자세한신력을기재해야함) 1부
f) 명함판사진 2장
g) 고시료: $150 (USD) Pay to the order of - KFPCNY

5. Instructions for Documents and Written Assignments Submission
a) All required documents and written assignments must be submitted by March 31, 2017.
 (Packages post-marked before March 31, 2017 are valid. No late submissions will be accepted.)
b) The candidates will not receive back the submitted documents and assignments.
c) The results of the exam will be announced during the 41st meeting of the General Assembly (May 16-19, 2017). The candidates who successfully sustain the examination process will be introduced to the floor and will be given Ordination Candidate Qualification Certificates.

5. 서류제출요령
a) 모든응시서류및제출고시과목원고는 2017년 3월 31일까지제출해야함. 2017년 3월31일자우체국소인이찍힌것은유효함. 그이후는접수하지않음.
b) 접수된서류는일체반환하지않음.
c) 합격자발표는 41회총회기간(5월16일-19일) 중에합격증서수여함.

6. Miscellaneous Information
a) Candidates must reserve rooms appropriately for the dates of exam (May 12-15, 2017 Anchorage, Alaska) through Rev. Sunghoon Cho.
b) Candidates may use personal notebook computers for written exams, but the following conditions must be met :
(1) The personal notebook must contain only a Word Processing program.
(2) The screen is not to be changed during an exam. Violators will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal from the examination room.
(3) One must bring his own printer. Any mechanical problems will not constitute a valid excuse for failing to submit the exam on time.

6. 참고사항
a) 고시생은고시부서기조성훈목사에게연락하여시험기간(5월 12일-15일총회고시장소) 중에사용할숙소를예약할것.
b) 고시당일노트북컴퓨터를사용하여고시를볼수있으나아래사항을지킬것.
(1) Word Process 이외의모든 program은고시장소에들어오기전에지울것.
(2) 시험중에는화면을절대로바꾸지말것. 허락없이화면을바꾸면퇴장당함.
(3) 프린터는제공되지않으므로본인이책임지고준비할것.
