총장 인사 말씀
KAPC 직영신학교인 개혁장로회 대학 및 신학 대학원에 오신 여러분들을 진심으로 환영합니다.
우리 신학교가 속한 KAPC( Korean American Presbyterian Church)는 1978년 2월에 탄생된 총회로 30개 이상의 노회,8만명이상의 세례교인을 가진 북미주 최대의 한인 교단입니다. 그리고 가장 성경적이고 개혁적이며 근실히 성장하고 있는 장로교단에 속한 직영신학교입니다.
목사가 되려는 사람은 교단과 신학교를 잘 선택하여야 합니다. 우리 개혁장로회 신학 대학원은 개혁주의 신학과 신앙으로 미국 이민 교회의 목회자들과 지도자를 키워내는 사명을30년이상 지켜왔습니다.
저는 학생들의개혁주의 신학의 뼈대인 조직신학의 8과정인 서론, 신론, 인죄론, 기독론, 구원론, 교회론, 말세론 , 성령론 등의 8과정을 졸업 전까지 다 배우도록 조직 신학을 제대로 배워 졸업하도록 주안점을 삼을 것입니다. 왜냐하면 J.E. Adams 의 말대로 신학의 기초가 약한 목회자는 지 교회 목회가 위험해 지기 때문입니다. 실력있고 좋은 교수진들이 사명감을 가지고 열정으로 가르칠 것입니다.
그리고 우리 신학교는 졸업 후 설교와 성경 가르치는 것에서 목회 승부가 결국 판가름이 납니다. 신학교의 짧은 기간동안 모든 것을 다 배울 수는 없지만 주경 신학을 통해 66권의 성경을 바로 배우게 하고 설교실제를 통해 Expository Sermon 을 잘하는 성경적인 설교자로 만들어 내는 학교가 되게 하겠습니다. 그래서 우리학교 출신들은 성경을 바로 해석하고 설교하고 가르치는 목회자를 키워내는 학교로 정평이 나게 하고 싶습니다.
이미 졸업한 목회자들을 위한 목회학 박사 과정으로 “전문 설교 대학원”를 만들어 가르치고자 합니다. 목회는 종합예술입니다. 사명감과 인격과 영력과 실력을 갖추어야 합니다.그래서 학교를 영적 사관학교요 수도원처럼 분위기를 만들고자 합니다.

We sincerely welcome you to the Reformed Presbyterian College and Graduate School of Theology, which is directly affiliated with KAPC.
KAPC (Korean American Presbyterian Church), to which our seminary belongs, is the largest Korean denomination in North America with more than 30 presbyteries and more than 80,000 baptized members. It is the most biblical, reformed, and steadily growing Presbyterian denomination.
Candidates who wish to become a pastor must choose a denomination and a seminary well. Our Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary has been following the mission of nurturing pastors and leaders of American immigrant churches with Reformed theology and faith for over 40 years.
Our emphasis entails that students should learn systematic theology properly and graduate upon successfully completing 8 courses of systematic theology, which is a part of the framework of Reformed theology, such as Introduction to Theology, Theory of Human Sin, Christology, Soteriology, Church Theory, the Last Days, and the Holy Spirit as a precursor for graduation. As JE Adams said, a pastor with a weak foundation in theology puts the ministry of a local church at risk. Talented and well established professors teach with a sense of mission and passion at our seminary.
And in our seminary, after graduating, we believe that preaching and teaching the Bible determine the success of the ministry. Although it is not possible to learn everything in a short period of time at the seminary, we provide ample training which allows students to learn the 66 books of the Bible right away through Expository Sermons that defines good biblical preachers through sermon practice. That is why we nurtures our students so that they may become pastors who interpret, preach, and teach the Bible right away.
We strive to create a “Professional Preaching Graduate School program,” a Doctor of Ministry program for pastors who have already graduated. Pastoring is a comprehensive art. You must have a sense of duty, character, and spiritual acumen. So, we want to create an atmosphere like a spiritual academy and monastery.
